Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) is a welding process that uses a continuously-fed consumable tubular electrode containing a flux. The flux provides the necessary protection to the molten weld pool from atmospheric contamination.
Flux-cored arc welding is known for its high welding speed, deep penetration, and suitability for welding thick materials. It is widely used in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, and pipeline welding due to its versatility and ability to weld in various positions.
